We were out looking for eagles, and I heard and saw my first Bald Eagle; however, they're not as easy to take a pic when in flight. Captured a bumblebee pic, though....and a few "flowers".
(actually it was an Irish friend that gave me that line, from his mother, when they (his family and friends) would all get together for a Ceilidh of sorts in the house) :)
Cherry, it was one of those oops, wow, he was there on the thistle, and I just happened to click at the right time
ER, Mrs S, pretty but can be prickly...at least that's what my husband tells me....;D
I'm old enough to know better, and young enough not to care! 20th wedding anniv. around the corner, three kids and a gaggle of animals to keep me busy. Life's good!

Love the thistles - I tend to think of them as quintessentially Scottish. Maybe they are and your pictures shows how far our seeds have scattered!!
I love that top picture with the bee in it :-)
Scottish motif again, Roon the Hoose. :)
I'm also picking up on that Scottish thistle theme - what a cracker of a picture! xx
"Roon the hoose and mind the dresser..."
ah canny help it, James...it's in the blood... ;D
