Hi all. I've had a wee bit of a fender bender this week. Luckily for me, I was driving our work truck due to my car being in the shop, or it's the concensus of everyone that I would not be here on this earth. You could say it was one of those God-things. Leaving work that night, I felt moved to thank God for this truck, and so I did; little did I know what was in store for me.
All's said and done, I've survived a head-on collision that was estimated to be over 110mph combined speed. My medical situation is stable, and I'm about with crutches for my left ankle and right knee, and as my 'bell was rung', my head's still in a bit of a daze. The firemen, deputies, and the people who stopped to help were absolutely wonderful. My husband and kids have been great, and so have been my friends and family who have called and brought meals. I am truly blessed. Praise God.
My hubby, TB posted on this, and the above photo collage is his creation.
So many have said, that God has kept me around for His purpose. I am humbled.

Good lord that looks unpleasant. Keep busy and don't think about it for a while!
Oh, how awful! Just looking at the smashed car, there's such violence in the photo! I'm so glad you're here to tell the tale! Take it easy.

So sorry to hear about your misfortune, HGF. Get well soon.
Praise God that he protected you. You have my prayers for a speedy recovery.
I haven't blogged in a month. or even read any. I was checking the weather ( Gustav's outer bands are upon us) and I thought about you and wondered what you were up to. I never expected THIS! Why did you pop in my head? Must have been a God-thing. I think every moment of our lives can be God-things. It takes incidents like this to make us realize it.
oh my god.
thank god you're ok.
thankful is right! wishing you healing through and through. peace.

Hi CT, ER, Lins, and Yolanda,
Thank you. :)
Ohmygosh … I just read about your accident a little while ago at SBH … and I’m so grateful you survived this horrendous crash. May you recover fully and quickly from your injuries and get yourself a new heavy duty truck … just because. Luv the Joan Borysenko quote ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
I wondered why I hadn't learned about your car crash HGF, but I was on holiday at the time and never got around to catching up with everyone's full blog since my return. Looking at the white truck, I can't believe you survived such an accident. Obviously thanking God for the car before travelling was well-timed and appropriate.
By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest. Be good to yourself HGF. xx
Hi Storyteller and Mrs S,
thank you so much for your thoughts! :)
I've not been here for a while so I'm overdue with my comment. I'm sorry to hear (and see) about your accident but so glad you're okay.
