You're only as old as you feel...
"An elderly couple walked into the lobby of the Mayo Clinic for a checkup and spotted a piano. They've been married for 62 years and he'll be 90 this year.
Check out this impromptu performance. We are only as old as we feel, it's all attitude. Enjoy! They certainly do"

A Kiss to build a Dream On....
I love this song, because it reminds me of how important we can be in the lives of others, by encouraging them to believe in themselves and in their dreams.
...beyond the 'romantic' of Valentine's Day, to the true love of friendship.
Who's dream are you helping to build? :)
Happy Valentine's Day, all!

What makes you come alive?
"Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
- Howard Thur
We're often so busy with the "have - to" and other responsibilities that adult life brings, that we forget sometimes to take a moment to remind ourselves of the why. Then there's all the added on things that people try to put on us with the "shoulds" and the "oughts", and a touch of guilt thrown in for good measure....
I wonder, how do you balance the getting back to who we are and what we love and shed the have tos, shoulds and oughts, not to mention the guilt, yet staying "responsible" with our commitments?

Mother Superior's Words of Wisdom
The 98 year old Mother Superior from Ireland was dying. The nuns gathered around her bed trying to make her last journey comfortable.
They gave her some warm milk to drink but she refused. Then one of the nuns took the glass back to the kitchen. Remembering a bottle of Irish whiskey received as a gift the previous Christmas, she opened and poured a generous amount into the warm milk.
Back at Mother Superior's bed, she held the glass to her lips. Mother drank a little, then a little more and before they knew it, she had drunk the whole glass down to the last drop.
"Mother," the nuns asked with earnest, "please give us some wisdom before you die."
She raised herself up in bed and with a pious look on her face said, "Don't sell that cow."
